Terrarium Setup

Gather your plants. Select 3-4 plants from the 7cm indoor plant range at your nursery. A base layer is optional- we recommend a thin layer of stones or gravel but our terrariums work well planted directly into the silicon base due to the shallow nature of the design.

 

Adding the plants

Gently remove the plants from their containers one by one, shaking any excess soil. Place them into the silicon base. Place the smallest plant at the front with taller plants at the back.

 

Set the plants in place

Add remaining soil around the plants and gently patt down to bed them. Decorative stones and moss may be used to assist and enhance. Clear way any mess, ready to place into the Botanica base.

Assemble the vessel

Now that your plants are arranged, lift the insert into the botanica base. It will fit snugg and protect your base from water damage.

Watering

Spraying the plants and soil assists in cleaning the foliage and setting them in place. Beyond this keeping the soil mosit but not saturated is the key.

Add the glass top

Ensure the base edge is clean and void of soil and place the glass lid. Wiggling the glass left to right as you press down assists in creating the best seal.
